Northwestern University is a privately owned higher education institution headquartered in Illinois, US. Founded in 1851, the university employs approximately 15,390 individuals. Functioning as an American higher education provider, it operates two campuses located on Lake Michigan: a 240-acre campus in Evanston, minutes north of Chicago, and a 25-acre campus in downtown Chicago. A third campus was established in Doha, Qatar in 2008.

Concurrently, Northwestern Medicine published a study in JAMA suggesting lung transplantation significantly extends survival for select advanced lung cancer patients. Additionally, the Kellogg School of Management's new LinkedIn newsletter, "Leadership + AI," featured an article by Sébastien Martin, associate professor of operations, discussing learning about agentic AI.
