OIV (Transmitters and Communications Ltd.), a Croatian state-owned company founded in 2002, provides connectivity and distribution services. Employing approximately 310 people, OIV's operations encompass radio and television broadcasting, audio-visual content and data distribution, fiber-optic leasing, co-location services, and other modern media services. In 2023, the company reported revenues of less than $50 million.
On September 20, 2024, an addendum to an agreement was signed in Sarajevo, enabling the continuation of a digitalization project for public broadcasting services in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This addendum, worth €13,083,503.75, involved Nimbus Innovations' withdrawal from the contract and OIV's assumption of all rights and obligations. Separately, Bosnia and Herzegovina engaged OIV to complete the rollout of Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT), a project delayed for almost a decade. In Croatia, on August 28, an agreement was signed to launch a €285 million national broadband project. The Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure will manage this project, with OIV responsible for technical implementation. The project aims to expand high-speed internet access to rural areas, coastal regions, and islands. OIV also participated in the MBT conference on May 22, 2025.
