OIV (Transmitters and Communications Ltd.) is a Croatian state-owned company founded in 2002 with headquarters in Croatia. It operates in the broadcasting and telecommunication industries, providing comprehensive radio and television broadcasting services, audio-visual content and data distribution, fiber-optic lease, co-location, and modern media services. As of 2023, OIV has a workforce of 310 employees and generates less than $50 million in annual revenue.
In 2023, Oiv engaged in discussions with CRATIS to explore potential collaborations in the information and communication technology (ICT) and electronic communication services sectors. The same year, Oiv commenced the 5G-ADRIA project in partnership with Telemach Hrvatska, Telemach Slovenia, DARS, and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Ljubljana. Funded by the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF), the project aims to analyze and research the 5G infrastructure required for future transport services along transport corridors in Slovenia and Croatia. Furthermore, Oiv assumed responsibility for completing the long-delayed rollout of Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, marking the country's transition from analogue broadcasting technology. Additionally, the construction of Oiv's new office building in Zadar progressed as planned, with the first phase involving the construction of an office building, storage, and office space, followed by the construction of closed and open warehouses in the subsequent phases. Lastly, Oiv merged with Pomorski centar za elektroniku d.o.o. (PCE) on March 26, 2024, as per the Merger Agreement and the decisions made by the General Assemblies of both companies.
