OL Reign, a privately owned entity headquartered in the United States, was established in 2020, employing approximately 60 individuals. The company focuses on spectator sports, originally operating as Seattle Reign FC, which was established in 2012 as a founding member of the National Women’s Soccer League.
Seattle Reign signed Ivorian forward Ami Diallo through the 2028 NWSL season on August 18. Diallo, 25, arrived for an undisclosed transfer fee from ASEC Mimosas, where she led the team to a second consecutive Ivorian Division 1 title and a run to the CAF Women's Champions League final. Previously, on August 3, the Reign loaned goalkeeper Neeku Purcell and Sofia Cedeño to Dallas Trinity FC of the Gainbridge Super League for the remainder of the 2026 NWSL season, where they joined former Reign assistant coach Lee Nguyen’s side. The team had played Bay FC at PayPal Park on Saturday, August 1. Earlier, on July 28, Seattle Reign announced club legend Lauren “Lu” Barnes, the most experienced player in NWSL history, returned as an interim assistant coach for the remainder of the 2026 season, supporting Laura Harvey’s coaching staff. This coaching addition followed Seattle Reign FC's 2-0 victory over San Diego Wave FC on July 26 at Snapdragon Stadium, where Maddie Mercado scored her third goal in as many matches in the 17th minute.
