OL Reign, a privately owned entity headquartered in the US, was founded in 2020. The organization, originally established as Seattle Reign FC in 2012, operates with approximately 60 employees and reported $16.3M in revenue as of 2023. Specializing in spectator sports, it was a founding member of the National Women’s Soccer League.
Bay FC announced on February 16, 2026, a schedule change for its road trip to Seattle, moving the match against the Seattle Reign to Saturday, September 12, at 5 p.m. PT from its originally scheduled Friday slot at Lumen Field. Previously, on January 13, 2026, the Reign extended head coach Laura Harvey's contract through the 2028 NWSL season. Harvey holds the record as the league's winningest coach with 113 regular-season victories and has led Seattle to three NWSL Shields and three NWSL championship games. This followed the club's November 25, 2025, announcement of a new one-year contract extension for Jess Fishlock. The veteran midfielder, set to turn 39 in January, will enter her 14th year with Seattle, making her the club’s longest-tenured player.
