Arete Research analysts raised concerns on July 10 about Paramount Skydance Corp. (PSKY), seeing a 79% downside for the company, which is preparing to acquire Warner Bros. Paramount Skydance operates as a media and entertainment company, holding iconic brands such as Paramount Pictures, CBS, and Nickelodeon, with its Q2 2026 earnings expected. Earlier on July 10, the UK began considering intervention in the Paramount-Skydance acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery due to media plurality concerns, noting the involvement of billionaires Larry and David Ellison in the merger. On July 9, RedBird IMI CEO Jeff Zucker, former CNN Worldwide president, declined to comment on "drama" surrounding the cable network ahead of Paramount’s potential ownership, following the closing of his own All3Media merger. This followed an earlier July 9 report from Arete Research, which questioned Paramount Skydance management's experience in handling the large amount of debt expected from a merger with Warner Bros.
