Perro Azul, legally registered as Perro Azul S.A. de C.V. and operating commercially via perroazul.tv, is an independent film studio, television production house, and multimedia development firm headquartered in the Escandón neighborhood of Mexico City, Mexico. The company was acquired by Peter Chernin's Hollywood conglomerate, The North Road Company, in January 2025. Founded in 2017, with its studio established in 2019 by entertainment executives and producers Alexis Fridman and Juan Uruchurtu, the company employs approximately 40 individuals and reported $8.9M in revenue as of 2024. The company specializes in content rights, developing a multi-genre intellectual property portfolio that includes high-concept thrillers, political black comedies, historical dramas, zombie series, and socially conscious podcasts. Its catalog features Spanish-language streaming productions, such as the Netflix thriller Who Killed Sara?
