Philippine Basketball Association, also known as PBA, is a privately owned entity headquartered in the Philippines. Founded in 1975, the organization employs approximately 50 individuals. The company functions as a men's professional basketball league, composed of 12 company-branded franchised teams. It is recognized as the first professional basketball league in Asia and the second oldest continuously professional basketball league in the world after the NBA.

NLEX defeated Phoenix 105-95 on Sunday, ending Phoenix's participation in the Philippine Cup quarterfinals. The PBA will hold its first double-header at the Ynares Center in Montalban on Friday, featuring NLEX versus Blackwater and TNT versus Phoenix. The Zamboanga Valientes are in advanced talks to purchase Terrafirma's PBA franchise, pending league approval.
