The company provides content solutions for production across the entire spectrum of media platforms. They also operate as a sports TV producer in the German-speaking region. Plazamedia, a leading sports TV producer in the German-speaking region, announced a partnership with MR Factory to drive developments in virtual production. The collaboration aims to open the market for virtual production in German-speaking regions and beyond. Additionally, Plazamedia extended its contract with Deutsche Telekom for another four years, providing playout services for MagentaTV during Euro 2024. The expanded service portfolio includes Plazamedia taking over interior production for Deutsche Telekom from the 2024/2025 season until 2027/2028. Plazamedia also opened its new Illusioneer studio in Ismaning, near Munich, and successfully broadcasted live from the studio using its permanently connected TV control rooms. Furthermore, Turkish media firm Acunmedya acquired a 50% stake in Sport1, which includes Plazamedia, Magic Sports Media, and Match IQ. As part of the deal, an extensive content partnership is planned.
Plazamedia's customers primarily consist of broadcast television and radio and streaming services companies. Examples of Plazamedia's customers include DAZN Group, Deutsche Telekom and ZDF. Examples of Plazamedia's suppliers include Nevion (a Sony Group Company), EVS Broadcast Equipment and Riedel Communications.
