As of December 27, 2023, the company was placed in liquidation by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, a decision stemming from the President's veto on its financing.
On January 29, 2026, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) submitted its response to Poland’s public consultation on the European Media Freedom Act (EMFA), urging the Polish government to ensure adequate long-term funding and independent governance for public broadcasters like Polskie Radio. Earlier the same day, Polskie Radio sold a property to a licensee. This licensee currently broadcasts Polish-language full-service programming to Chicagoland on WNVR-AM 1030 in Vernon Hills, Illinois, having previously utilized a Class B facility licensed to La Grange, Illinois.
