Polskie Radio is a state-owned national public-service radio broadcasting organization based in Poland. Founded in 1925, the company employs approximately 720 individuals and reported $103.4M in revenue as of 2023. Functioning as a broadcaster of television and radio, Polskie Radio is owned by the State Treasury of Poland. On 27 December 2023, the Minister of Culture and National Heritage placed the company in liquidation following the President's veto on its financing.
On January 29, 2026, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) submitted its response to Poland’s public consultation on the European Media Freedom Act (EMFA), urging the Polish government to ensure adequate long-term funding and independent governance for public broadcasters like Polskie Radio. Earlier the same day, Polskie Radio sold a property to a licensee. This licensee currently broadcasts Polish-language full-service programming to Chicagoland on WNVR-AM 1030 in Vernon Hills, Illinois, having previously utilized a Class B facility licensed to La Grange, Illinois.
