Prensa Ibérica is a privately owned Spanish media group founded in 1978. Employing approximately 400 people and headquartered in Spain, the company operates across nine autonomous communities. Initially concentrating on print newspapers, Prensa Ibérica has diversified into a multimedia organization encompassing digital media platforms (including online newspaper editions) and local television and radio broadcasting. A notable expansion occurred in 2019 with the acquisition of Grupo Zeta, significantly increasing its portfolio of publications, which now includes titles such as El Periódico de Catalunya and Diario Sport.
