Qatar Media Corporation (QMC) secured six silver awards at the 26th Arab Radio and Television Festival in Tunisia on September 26, 2026, recognizing a range of its television and radio productions, with Qatar TV receiving four of these awards, including two in program exchange categories. Previously, on September 22, 2026, QMC participated as a media partner in the second edition of the BilAraby Annual Gathering, reinforcing its commitment to strengthening Arabic language use across media and knowledge sectors. This followed a September 21, 2026, signing of a cooperation agreement between QMC and Qatar University (QU) in Doha. The agreement, signed by His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Abdulaziz al-Thani, QMC CEO, and Dr. Omar al-Ansari, QU President, aims to foster collaboration in media scientific research and vocational training to develop national media talent. Earlier on September 21, QMC participated in the 115th session of the Executive Council of the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) in Hammamet, Tunisia, ahead of the festival.
