Oman's Platform for Smart Manufacturing (Ectron) signed a strategic partnership with Sagemcom on July 1, 2026, to localize the production of smart metering technologies and enhance the Sultanate of Oman's advanced manufacturing sector. Earlier, on June 15, Sagemcom introduced a new portfolio of software services at the RDK Tech Summit 2026, including Life Cycle Management, NEXA Mobile Backup, AI Power Saving, and AI-powered self-care capabilities within the RDK open-source ecosystem. On June 11, the company announced that its latest generation of SICONIA ANSI electricity meters successfully completed radio-frequency (RF) mesh Wi-SUN FAN 1.1 certification. This followed a commercial court in Paris awarding Sagemcom USD 2.5 million in damages on May 25 in a legal dispute with pay-TV group Canal Plus, a claim Sagemcom filed in July 2024. In March, Sagemcom partnered with PLDT Home Life to power the hardware behind the newly launched StreamTV+ all-in-one smart home entertainment device.
