SAMAA TV, a privately owned Pakistani broadcast media company founded in 2007, produces and distributes news programming. Operating under the Jaag Broadcasting Systems (Pvt) Limited banner, SAMAA TV employs approximately 950 people and broadcasts live from five locations across Pakistan: Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Quetta, and Peshawar.
Samaa TV hosted Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb on Wednesday, who announced the government's plan to create regulations for cryptocurrency. Aurangzeb reported progress on the issuance process and highlighted the need to attract investment via capital markets. Separately, on Tuesday, Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry appeared on Samaa TV's "Nadeem Malik Live" program. Chaudhry attributed the lack of issue resolution to the political stance of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan. Additionally, Samaa TV reported 34 dengue fever cases in Rawalpindi since July, along with numerous reports of dengue larvae. Finally, Samaa TV reported on former Pakistan batter Mohammad Yousuf's refusal to apologize for using a derogatory term towards Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav during a live broadcast. Yousuf instead referenced former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan on social media.
