Ferraro reported no contract extension talks with the Sharks, although he expressed hope for a long-term agreement. Separately, the Sharks' ECHL affiliate, the Wichita Thunder, signed rookie forward Tian Rask for the 2025-26 season. Furthermore, the AHL affiliate, the San Jose Barracuda, signed forward Oliver Wahlstrom to a PTO/AHL contract for the 2025-26 season; Wahlstrom will attend the Sharks' training camp with a chance to make the NHL team.
