On December 2, 2025, Astranis, in partnership with Persistent Systems, Kymeta, and Satcube, unveiled Astranis Vanguard, a new satellite-enabled mobile ad-hoc network product. The Vanguard system is described as a fully air-gapped, rapidly deployable network utilizing a dedicated satellite, with its capabilities demonstrated using an operational on-orbit satellite asset. This product is designed to serve warfighters and first responders. Previously, on November 9, 2025, Astranis CEO John Gedmark announced the Astranis Vanguard, stating that the capability fulfilled a long-standing customer request and was already deployed with warfighters, first responders, and enterprise customers globally.
