The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) is a privately owned art and design university founded in 1978 and headquartered in the United States. It employs approximately 3,880 people.
SCAD presented the Spring Fine Arts Showcase this weekend, featuring student and alumni work in various mediums. On April 11, 2025, SCAD launched an exhibition dedicated to Jeanne Lanvin, running until August 31, 2025. SCAD students and alumni will participate in the 2025 Sand Arts Festival on Tybee's South Beach, creating sand sculptures, including a large-scale sand drawing by Andres Amador. Additionally, SCADFILM presented a talk by Taylor Ramos and Tony Zhou, titled "Where is Jokes? A Guide to Visual Comedy," exploring techniques in visual comedy. A separate event invited attendees to view student and alumni artwork, observe live demonstrations, and participate in printmaking. Artworks were available for purchase.
