Screenplay Films, also known as PT Screenplay Sinema Film, is a privately owned company and a subsidiary of Emtek, headquartered at the SCTV Tower in Central Jakarta, Indonesia. Founded in 2015, the company employs approximately 100 individuals, specializing in entertainment content rights. The enterprise functions as a vertically integrated mass media film studio and television entertainment corporation, established as a joint venture under PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk (the Emtek Group), a media, tech, and broadcasting conglomerate. Initially focused on the domestic terrestrial television market, the company expanded into digital media, functioning as a driver of premium subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) and streaming content. It manages an intellectual property library encompassing cinematic features, long-running daily soap operas (sinetron), and web series. Its multi-genre catalog includes titles such as Joko Anwar’s superhero epic Gundala (which launched the Bumilangit Cinematic Universe), the action-thriller franchise Pertaruhan The Series, the horror film DreadOut, the drama Orang Kaya Baru, the romantic drama series Turn On, the zombie-horror series Zona Merah, and Mendua (an Indonesian adaptation of BBC’s Doctor Foster produced in collaboration with Disney+ Hotstar).
