Searchlight Pictures acquired distribution rights for certain regions for the new horror film "Monitor" on April 15, 2026, following its world premiere at the SXSW festival. The film centers on a disturbing video that causes something to spread from screen to screen, targeting viewers. Previously, on March 23, 2026, Searchlight Pictures announced that its film "Rental Family" would be available for digital purchase on platforms including Apple TV, SF Anytime, and Viaplay starting March 31. Earlier on March 23, the studio's "Ready or Not 2: Here I Come," a sequel to the 2019 horror/comedy "Ready or Not," performed well at the box office. This sequel, which picks up where the original left off with protagonist Grace, was noted for its comedic and bloody elements.
