Employing approximately 200 people as of 2023, the company operates its own marketing and distribution functions. Its films have generated over $5 billion in worldwide gross revenue and received numerous accolades, including 51 Academy Awards (five for Best Picture), 62 BAFTA Awards, 34 Golden Globe Awards, and 10 Grammy Awards. In addition to film production, Searchlight Pictures' television division, Searchlight Television, develops and produces series for various platforms, having won a Primetime Emmy Award for its series "The Dropout.
