Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology, a privately owned institution founded in 1967, is a public college with multiple campuses in the Greater Toronto Area and Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. Employing approximately 5,000 people, Seneca offers a range of full-time and part-time programs at the certificate, diploma, baccalaureate, and graduate levels.
Seneca Polytechnic launched its first master's degree program, the Master of Artificial Intelligence Design & Development, on September 19, 2025. This two-year program combines advanced AI theory with practical business applications, covering machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, data science, and AI ethics. The program includes hands-on, work-integrated learning to prepare graduates for careers in high-demand fields. Also in early September, Seneca Polytechnic signed a memorandum of understanding with the MAAUN Group of Universities to foster student exchange, curriculum development, and global engagement. Applications for the AI master's degree are open, with the program starting in January 2026. This program marks the first AI master's degree offered by any college or polytechnic in Ontario.
