Silicon Quantum Computing, also known as SQC, is a privately owned company headquartered in Australia. Founded in 2017, it employs approximately 80 individuals. The company specializes in developing quantum computers and analogue quantum devices. It utilizes phosphorus atoms manufactured within silicon using scanning tunnelling microscopes, an approach within the field of spin qubits. Distinct from other companies in the spin qubits modality, SQC leverages the nuclear spin of phosphorus atoms placed within isotopically pure Si-28 wafers for quantum computation. Atoms used as qubits have demonstrated favourable performance indicators, including long coherence times and biased noise.
