Brazil's National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) has approved the acquisition of broadband provider Zaaz by Bali, an operator within Grupo Werthein, which also owns Sky Brasil. This decision grants a 180-day approval period, with a potential extension for another 180 days. Zaaz must submit formal transaction documents within 60 days of registration. Post-acquisition, Bali will control 93.5 percent of Zaaz, while investment fund Boaz Corporacoes e Participacoes will retain the remaining 6.5 percent.
