The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) is a privately owned minor professional ice hockey league founded in 2004 and headquartered in the United States. As of 2023, the league employed approximately 30 people and its primary activity is the staging of spectator sports events.
The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) announced several player transactions. On April 2, Macon added LW Stefan Miklakos. On April 3, Peoria placed RW Fletcher Anderson on team suspension and added D Brian Scoville; Birmingham placed LW Jared Christy on waivers. On April 4, Birmingham added LW Shane Murphy and Evansville placed D Anthony Hora on 14-day injured reserve and activated C Derek Contessa from injured reserve; Knoxville activated D Seth Ensor from injured reserve. The SPHL playoffs will feature the top eight teams; two points are awarded for a win, and one point for an overtime or shootout loss.
