Southland Conference, also known as SLC, is a non-profit organization headquartered in the United States. Founded in 1963, it operates with an estimated 120 employees. The conference functions as a collegiate athletic conference operating in the South Central United States, specifically across Texas and Louisiana. It participates in the NCAA's Division I for all sports, and for football, it specifically operates within the Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). The Southland Conference sponsors 18 sports, comprising 10 for women and eight for men, and is governed by a presidential Board of Directors and an Advisory Council consisting of athletic and academic administrators.
