Distributor GKIDS previously announced on March 11 that these two films would return to theaters in the U.S. and Canada with IMAX screenings using new 4K remastered versions. This move continues GKIDS' collaboration with IMAX to bring newly remastered 4K Studio Ghibli titles to North American audiences, following last month's announcement of *Kiki’s Delivery Service* IMAX screenings.
