Studio TF1, also known as Newen Studios, is a privately owned audiovisual and film production and distribution company headquartered in France. The company, which rebranded from Newen Studios in January 2025, was founded in 2008 and employs approximately 260 individuals. As a wholly owned subsidiary of the TF1 Group, its operations extend through subsidiaries such as Studios Post & Prod, 17 Juin, and Blue Spirit Studios. Studio TF1 oversees more than 50 production companies and labels across Europe, the USA, and Canada, operating across all content genres including fiction, daily series, film, documentaries, animation, and entertainment. Its main product focus is content rights, and it maintains one of the largest content rights catalogs in France and Europe.
Studio TF1, formerly Newen Studios, appointed David O’Donoghue as executive vice-president of international. O’Donoghue, a former Universal International Studios executive, will be based in London and report to chief executive Pierre Branco. Studio TF1 also announced plans to expand its cinema division, aiming to double film production within two years. This expansion includes launching theatrical distribution for its own films and reorganizing its film and audiovisual structure.
