Newen Studios, a privately owned French company founded in 2008, is involved in the production and distribution of film and television rights. Employing approximately 290 people, it is a subsidiary of TF1. Its primary business focuses on the audiovisual sector.
Studio TF1, formerly Newen Studios, appointed David O’Donoghue as executive vice-president of international. O’Donoghue, a former Universal International Studios executive, will be based in London and report to chief executive Pierre Branco. Studio TF1 also announced plans to expand its cinema division, aiming to double film production within two years. This expansion includes launching theatrical distribution for its own films and reorganizing its film and audiovisual structure.
