Functioning as a tier 1 media tech buyer, it operates as the production and distribution unit of the TF1 Group (Bouygues Group), managing entertainment content rights. The studio network, which includes subsidiaries like 17 Juin, Blue Spirit Studios, and Studios Post & Prod, spans over 50 production companies and creative labels across 12 countries in Europe, the United States, and Canada. Studio TF1 generates over 3,600 hours of content annually and manages a rights catalog exceeding 20,000 hours. Its growth model focuses on acquiring independent production labels, co-financing international scripted and unscripted IP, and executing global distribution deals with public broadcasters, commercial networks, and digital streaming platforms.
On July 8, 2025, Studio TF1, formerly known as Newen Studios, appointed David O’Donoghue as executive vice-president of international. O’Donoghue, previously an executive at Universal International Studios (UIS), will be based in London and report to Chief Executive Pierre Branco, a move reflecting Studio TF1's increasing focus on global markets.
