This follows Sun Group's development of the APEC Multi-functional Complex in Phu Quoc, which includes a 4,030-seat APEC theater, slated to be among Asia's largest performance venues, aiming to elevate Vietnam's global cultural profile. Concurrently, on April 2, Sun PhuQuoc Airways opened ticket sales for new routes connecting the island with a major regional travel and financial hub, offering round-trip fares from VND3.664 million (US$139) to support short-haul travel demand. Earlier, on April 1, Vietnam’s Sun PhuQuoc Airways inaugurated its first international service from Phu Quoc to Taipei, Taiwan, on March 29, operating five times weekly on an Airbus A321neo with economy and business class seats. This launch represents a key step in the airline's international expansion strategy, which targets seven markets in 2026.
