T-Series is a privately owned Indian music record label and film production company founded in 1983. It is headquartered in India and has a staff of approximately 960 employees. The company's main product is film and TV rights.
T-Series is facing legal challenges over copyright infringement and title disputes. Singer Jasleen Royal filed a lawsuit in the Bombay High Court against T-Series lyricist Raj Ranjodh and singer Guru Randhawa for allegedly using her musical works without authorization in the song "All Right" from the album "G Thing". Separately, the Delhi High Court issued an interim injunction preventing T-Series from releasing any film under the titles 'Tu Hi Aashiqui', 'Tu Hi Aashiqui Hai', or any other name incorporating the term 'Aashiqui'. The injunction was obtained by Vishesh Films Pvt. Ltd., a production company owned by filmmaker Mukesh Bhatt, who claimed that T-Series' use of the "Aashiqui" mark infringes on their trademark rights.
