The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) is a privately owned performing arts organization founded in 1980 and located at Harvard University in Massachusetts, USA. As of 2023, it employs approximately 170 people.
The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) will host the contemporary physical-theater troupe, 7 Fingers, for their production of “Passengers” this month. A.R.T. is collaborating with Roxbury muralist Dr. Rob “Problak” Gibbs and local artists to create a new mural for A.R.T.’s new Boston home. The City of Boston Licensing Board approved a community space liquor license application for A.R.T. This approval follows the celebration by Mayor Michelle Wu and State Representative Aaron Michlewitz of new legislation allowing businesses with beer and wine licenses to upgrade to all alcohol licenses.
