Traffic Broadcasting System

Traffic Broadcasting System, also known as TBS, is a privately owned company headquartered in South Korea, founded in 1990. The company operates as a tier 1 media tech buyer, providing broadcast television and radio services. While originally run by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and primarily dedicated to real-time traffic and weather information for the Seoul Capital Area, it transitioned into a private broadcasting station in 2024 to offer a more general mix of content. Its channels and stations include TBS TV, which televises general news, documentaries, information, and sports, including K League football matches; TBS FM (95.1 MHz, call sign HLST-FM), a 24-hour comprehensive radio channel broadcasting news, music, current affairs, and traffic information; and TBS eFM (101.3 MHz, call sign HLSW-FM), a separate channel that broadcasts in foreign languages such as English and Chinese.
