On April 1, 2026, Turkcell, alongside Turk Telekom and Vodafone Turkey, launched 5G services across all 81 provincial centers in Turkey. This widespread deployment follows the three operators' collective investment of US$2.95 billion for 5G spectrum in the 700 MHz and 3.5 GHz bands in October 2025. Earlier on April 1, Turkcell specifically marked its 5G service launch at an event in Istanbul, signaling a new phase for the operator whose journey dates back to 1994.
