Following its acquisition by NBCUniversal on August 14, 2019, the studio operates as a regional extension of Telemundo Streaming Studios. Ortega serves as Senior Vice President of Creative Direction for Telemundo Studios, while Culell operates as Vice President of Original Content Development. Underground Producciones controls an extensive proprietary intellectual property repository, securing numerous Martín Fierro Awards. Its entertainment catalogue and multi-market franchise library include the prison drama El Marginal, the comedy Lalola (licensed and adapted in over 70 countries), Graduados, Los Exitosos Pells, Un gallo para Esculapio, 100 Días para Enamorarse, Botineras, the biographical crime film El Ángel (premiering at the Cannes Film Festival), the documentary feature LA Originals for Netflix, and the female-led prison drama En el barro.
