Universal Design Studio

Universal Design Studio, a privately owned company headquartered in the United Kingdom and a subsidiary of WPP, was founded in 2001 and employs approximately 70 individuals. It operates as an architecture and interior design practice based in London. The studio creates hotels, restaurants, retail environments, workspaces, galleries, and cultural institutions globally. Its process is underpinned by rigorous research and development, emphasizing collaboration among designers, architects, and clients. The studio employs a bespoke approach for each project, utilizing research, experimentation, carefully chosen materials, and crafted details. Its work encompasses various scales, from bespoke door handles and interior spaces to large-scale architecture and building façades. Services include design strategy, research, and full-service architecture and interior design, from initial brief to project completion. Universal Design Studio was founded by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby, and is co-directed by Jason Holley and Paul Gulati.
