The Monkey Kingdom brand name was retired in May 2025 as the firm integrated into NBCUniversal’s American unscripted department. Universal Television Alternative Studio UK is recognized for its development of high-volume reality television, lifestyle formats, and celebrity-led sketch comedies. Its content library includes titles such as Made in Chelsea and its international spin-offs, The Real Housewives of Cheshire, The Real Housewives of Jersey, Celebrity Karaoke Club, The Emily Atack Show, and TFI Friday.
Monkey Kingdom, a production company, has had a series of successes recently. In May, the company announced the birth of 10 baby macaques in the Guangdong Neilingding Futian National Nature Reserve, boosting the wild macaque population on Neilingding Island.
