USA Network, also known as USA, is a privately owned American basic cable television channel. Founded in 1977 as the Madison Square Garden Sports Network, it initially focused on sports programming. The channel was relaunched in 1980 under its current name, USA Network. Currently part of Comcast's NBCUniversal, through its NBCUniversal Media Group division, it employs approximately 3,000 people and is headquartered in the United States.
