It was launched in 1977 as Madison Square Garden Sports Network, one of the first national sports cable television channels. On April 9, 1980, it was relaunched under its current name. USA Network is headquartered in the United States and has approximately 3,000 employees. The channel primarily focuses on entertainment programming, including original series, movies, and acquired content.
