On Tuesday, USA Swimming released an updated Competition Category Policy, restricting transgender women from competing in women’s categories. These championships will be the first held in the US since 2010. Separately, USA Swimming announced its Junior National Team roster for 2025-2026, comprising 90 athletes (42 girls and 48 boys). Finally, USA Swimming will announce the Female Athlete of the Year award at the Golden Goggle Awards in Denver later this month; Katie Ledecky, Gretchen Walsh, Kate Douglass, or Katharine Berkoff will give the acceptance speech.
