Verizon Business CEO and EVP Kyle Maladay assumed the chairmanship of the CTIA wireless industry association on an immediate basis, succeeding Laurent Therival. Verizon's Visible brand introduced Visible Inner Circle group mobile plans, enabling customers to link up to seven accounts for cost savings without requiring a single bill or primary account holder. Verizon partnered with Hyfi, a flood sensor startup, to launch a preventative flood monitoring system in Chicago. This system uses approximately 50 low-cost sensors operating on Verizon's 5G network.
