Lite-On Technology's board of directors approved a public tender offer on January 21, 2026, to acquire ordinary shares issued by Arcadyan Technology at NT$54 per share. This cash offer represents approximately a 19% premium over Arcadyan's closing price of NT$45.35 and targets anticipated rapid growth in mobile network traffic driven by AI applications. Arcadyan Technology has a capital of NT$376 million. Earlier in the month, on January 8, Arcadyan Technology, as part of an R&D alliance with Sunrise Industries and Cheng Chiang Enterprise, successfully developed a smart gas platform. This initiative, assisted by Taiwan's Artificial Intelligence Institute, secured business opportunities in Malaysia and Japan. Previously, on January 5, Arcadyan jointly demonstrated radar and infrared fusion capabilities with Compal Electronics at CES 2026, where Compal presented its Infrared Technology Systems (ITS) innovations.
