Visionworks of America is a privately owned company headquartered in the US. Founded in 1984, it employs approximately 3,070 individuals, functioning as an optical retailer across the United States.
On February 20, 2026, U.S. District Judge Wes Hendrix of the Northern District of Texas granted summary judgment in favor of San Antonio-based Visionworks and VSP Vision, ruling that House Bill 1696 violates the First Amendment. The judge also entered a final judgment permanently enjoining the statute. Previously, on January 18, 2026, the closing price was disclosed for properties on S. Main Street in West Bend, Wisconsin, where Visionworks is soon-to-relocate from a site previously home to the Omicron Family Restaurant. Bill and John Tsiampas owned the two parcels.
