Voice of Vietnam, also known as VOV, is a state-owned national radio broadcaster headquartered in Vietnam. Founded in 1945, the organization employs approximately 300 individuals and is classified as a tier 1 media tech buyer. Functioning as a pivotal multimedia institution under the direct management of the Government, VOV integrates radio, television, print, and digital platforms. It serves as the "Voice of the State," providing authoritative information on national policy, diplomacy, and socio-economic development to domestic audiences and the global Vietnamese diaspora.
The 17th National Vietnam Radio Festival, organized by Voice of Vietnam in coordination with Quang Ninh Province from April 11-13, 2026, concluded with a record crowd and an expanded focus into podcasting, bringing together radio and audio professionals. The festival's closing ceremony and award presentation on April 13 marked significant professional milestones for radio broadcasters nationwide. Earlier, on March 27, Voice of Vietnam Vice President Pham Manh Hung, head of the organizing committee, announced thorough preparations for the festival, themed "Broadcasting for a strong and prosperous Vietnam." This followed Voice of Vietnam's collaboration with Cambodia’s Ministry of Information, announced on March 17, to enhance media cooperation for digital transformation, specifically by modernizing Cambodia's National Television (TVK) and National Radio (RNK) from analogue to digital platforms.
