Radio Televisyen Malaysia, also known as RTM, is a state-owned entity headquartered in Malaysia. Founded in 1946 with approximately 310 employees, the company reported $5.5M in revenue as of 2024. Functioning as a tier 1 media tech buyer, RTM operates as a department under the Ministry of Communications. It is Malaysia's oldest broadcaster, managing 7 television channels, including TV1, TV2, Sukan RTM, and Berita RTM, alongside 34 radio stations nationwide. The entity's mission is to inform, educate, and entertain the public, disseminate government policies, and promote national culture and unity, with broadcasts in multiple languages such as Malay, English, Chinese, and Tamil. RTM has extended its services through the RTM Klik over-the-top (OTT) streaming platform to reach global audiences.
