VTR (Vía Trans Radio Comunicaciones SpA), a privately owned Chilean telecommunications company founded in 1928, provides fixed-line broadband, mobile telephony, and television services. Employing approximately 3,600 people, VTR's most recent annual revenue (2023) was below $500 million. Following a 2021 agreement between América Móvil and Liberty Latin America to merge their Chilean operations (Claro Chile and VTR), the resulting entity, Claro VTR, was fully operational in 2022. In 2024, América Móvil completed its acquisition of Liberty Latin America's stake in Claro VTR, assuming full ownership.
