It is a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company and is responsible for content creation, production, promotion, sales, acquisition, and domestic and international distribution of film and TV rights. The company owns several sub-brands, including Disney, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Disneynature, Marvel Studios, and Touchstone Pictures, and also owns Lucasfilm.
