On April 10, 2026, the four-person crew of Artemis II completed an historic mission, splashing down safely on Earth after traveling further into space than humans have ever ventured before, following an expedition to the far side of the Moon. This follows a series of announcements regarding future paragliding accuracy championships. On March 28, 2026, the CIVL Plenary 2026 awarded the 6th FAI Asian Paragliding Accuracy Championships to Jingmen, China, scheduled for September 16-24, 2028, with a test event planned for September 2027. Previously, on March 26, 2026, the CIVL Plenary selected Budva, Montenegro, to host the 10th FAI European Paragliding Accuracy Championships from September 30 to October 7, 2028, including a test event in September 2027. Earlier, on March 25, 2026, the CIVL Plenary 2026 awarded the 3rd FAI Pan American Paragliding Accuracy Championships to San Jorge, Argentina, scheduled for May 1-11, 2028, with its test event in May 2027. Additionally, on March 24, 2026, the inaugural FLYDONNA GIAPPONE 2026, a balloon meeting event for female hot air balloonists, was announced for Watarase, Japan.
