The countdown has begun for the 27th FAI World Glider Aerobatic Championship and 15th FAI World Advanced Glider Aerobatic Championship, which will bring glider aerobatic pilots to Fayence-Tourrettes Airfield in Fayence, France, from September 2-12, 2026. Previously, on August 23, 2026, the 2026 FAI F5J European Championship for Electric Powered Thermal Duration Gliders concluded at the Aeroclub of Abbeville-Buigny - Baie de Somme airfield in Abbeville, France, after a demanding week of Senior and Junior competition held from August 16-22. On August 22, 2026, Tilen Ceglar secured the title of European Paragliding Champion, outperforming 130 top pilots and finishing 13.5 points ahead of the silver medallist by placing in the top three in five of nine tasks. Earlier, on August 20, 2026, champions were crowned as the 2026 FAI European Championships for Space Models concluded in Włocławek, Poland.
