On June 11, 2026, several major development projects advanced across South Florida, including plans from Related Group and Raycliff Capital to transform the former Fisher Island Fuel Terminal into a luxury condominium development. This followed the groundbreaking of Miramar Cove, a $1 billion, 125-acre mixed-use community in Miramar, Fla. Sunbeam Properties and Stiles Residential Group commenced the project on June 2, with a projected opening in the fourth quarter of 2028. At a groundbreaking ceremony on May 27, developer Andy Ansin outlined plans for 2,874 residences, a 185-room hotel, and an entertainment district featuring numerous restaurants, bars, and shops, with gondola transport envisioned for the complex. WSVN 7News reported on the start of construction for the new regional destination.
