On April 3, 2026, Advantech announced a partnership with Korean AI semiconductor innovator DEEPX, expanding its AI chipset ecosystem and introducing its first AI acceleration solution, the EAI-1961 series Edge AI Acceleration Module, powered by DEEPX technology. Earlier on April 3, Advantech Co Ltd indicated plans for strategic expansion into regional blocs such as ASEAN to manage market uncertainties stemming from Middle East tariffs, US import tariffs, and climate change. Previously, on April 1, Advantech signed three strategic MoUs at the Advantech ASEAN Connect Conference 2026 to accelerate the deployment of industrial networking, energy storage, and predictive maintenance solutions across the ASEAN region. Also on April 1, Advantech announced a collaboration with digital security provider SecEdge, focusing on cybersecurity for edge AI deployments, which includes MIC-AI computer systems powered by NVIDIA Jetson designed with security, scalability, and Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) requirements in mind.
