Al Sharqiya News reported on April 23, 2025, that Al Sharqiya TV Group, founded in 2004, operates flagship channels Al Sharqiya Television and Al Sharqiya News, supported by seven studios. The group's flagship channels have a global reach across the Middle East. Separately, Al Sharqiya News reported on unspecified dates that Iraq, the second-largest oil producer in OPEC+, delayed some oil projects, but exports and production remained on schedule, according to an oil ministry source and Al Sharqiya News, citing the country's oil minister. In another development, Al Sharqiya, one of Iraq's largest privately owned TV channels, chose WAVE Media Solutions to upgrade its Erbil studio with three curved INFiLED WP displays.
