ATBMedia, operating under the corporate name Illimani de Comunicaciones S.A., is a privately owned company headquartered in Bolivia. Founded in 1984, with approximately 200 employees, it functions as a tier 1 media tech buyer. The company specializes in broadcast television and radio, operating as a private commercial media group and national broadcasting network based in La Paz, Bolivia. It was originally founded on 20 October 1984 under the name Paceña de Televisión by media figures Raúl Garafulic Gutiérrez and Juan Carlos Costas Salmón, later rebranding as Red ATB (Asociación Teledifusora Boliviana) and establishing itself as Bolivia’s first private free-to-air commercial television network. Over its four decades of operation, the ownership of the channel shifted across various international and domestic entities, including Mexican giant Televisa, Spanish media conglomerate PRISA, and investment firms Aikashi and Invesbol, before consolidating under the corporate umbrella of ATBMedia.
