Auckland Rugby League (ARL), a privately owned organization founded in 1909, is the governing body for rugby league in the Auckland region. Based in Australia, the ARL employs approximately 20 people and, as of 2023, its primary activity is the organization and operation of rugby league competitions and related activities within Auckland.
Auckland Rugby League (ARL) partnered with HART Sport on an initiative to promote active lifestyles and provide sports equipment to players of all ages. Research on concussions and concussion recovery is being conducted by AUT and Movement Solutions during the U16-18 Youth Tournaments in collaboration with ARL. The Howick Hornets Club Day 2024 was held at Paparoa Park. Papakura Rugby League implemented the Little League Feeds initiative, a player development program spearheaded by board member Wade Atiga. Tasha Davie, who has spent 28 years as a player and coach, shared her experiences as a female coach in the sport leading up to International Women's Day.
