Touch Football Australia (TFA) announced the Athelite Australian Emus teams on April 16, 2026, selected for the 2026 Asia Pacific Opens Touch Cup (APOTC), which will be held in Mudgee, New South Wales, from April 23 to 26. Earlier, on April 8, TFA unveiled the 2026-2027 National Masters Referee Squad (NMRS), highlighting its commitment to supporting referee growth and enhancing participant experience. On the same day, TFA also named the 2026-2027 National Referee Squad (NRS), recognizing officials for their ongoing commitment and consistent performance at the highest level of the sport. This followed Touch Football WA's (TFWA) April 1 announcement of the appointed coaches and management teams for the Perth City and Perth Kiwis Men’s and Women’s sides, ahead of the 2026 ANZAC Challenge Touch Football Games scheduled for April 26 at Dorrien Gardens, which promises to celebrate the connection between two cultures. Previously, on March 31, TFA announced its Australian referee contingent selected to officiate at the upcoming Asia Pacific Opens Touch Cup, recognizing these officials as top officiating talent crucial for the delivery of the Federation of International Touch (FIT) event.
