News Summary:

NSW Rugby League (NSWRL) recently delivered almost $3 million in direct support to grassroots clubs, announcing on February 24, 2026, that over $1 million in licensing revenue would be returned directly to community clubs for the first time in the program’s history. Previously, on January 25, 2026, True Blue Mark Hughes and the Honourable Geoff Bellew AM SC, both members of the NSWRL community, received recognition in the Australia Day Honours List. Earlier, between November 4-6, 2025, True Blues Brett Kimmorley, Andrew Ryan, and Kylie Hilder concluded the NSWRL’s 2025 Regional Roadshow campaign in Coffs Harbour and Grafton. This roadshow, conducted in partnership with Transport for NSW, promoted "The Knock-On Effect" campaign, which highlights the community impact of poor decisions behind the wheel. In May 2025, Australian insurance company GIO returned as a major partner of NSWRL, signing a multi-year agreement to support the Westpac NSW Blues men’s and women’s State of Origin teams, as well as grassroots Rugby League.
