The New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL), founded in 1907 and headquartered in Australia, is the governing body for Rugby League in New South Wales and a member of the Australian Rugby League Commission. Initially known as the New South Wales Rugby Football League (NSWRFL) until 1984, the NSWRL managed Sydney's, New South Wales', and Australia's top-level rugby league club competition from 1908 to 1994. Currently, the NSWRL directly administers various competitions, including the Knock-On Effect NSW Cup, Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership, Ron Massey Cup, Sydney Shield, Jersey Flegg Cup, UNE Harold Matthews Cup, UNE SG Ball Cup, SLE Laurie Daley Cup, SLE Andrew Johns Cup, and Harvey Norman Tarsha Gale Cup, contributing to the development of both male and female Rugby League talent.
