Previously, on June 22, 2026, Avanti and SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation entered into a purchase agreement for Avanti's Ka-band communications satellite, HYLAS 3, which operates in geostationary orbit. The satellite, originally launched in 2019, is expected to commence operations as JSAT-144D in early fiscal year 2027, extending coverage across Asia, Europe, and Africa.
